We meet the second Saturday of each month at Bull City Deli, 3820 North Roxboro Road, in Durham. Come join us to learn a new jewelry design technique each month at our regularly scheduled time slot of 2pm - 5pm.

All levels of bead enthusiasts are welcome to join us, yearly dues are $25 payable in cash at the monthly meeting.

The Raleigh Jewelry-Making Meetup Group was started in February 2008 to bring together people who are interested in jewelry and jewelry-making. We meet in a bead stores and a variety of venues. Everyone is welcome, whether you're "just curious," a beginner, a hobbyist, a bead lover, a metalworker, an artist, or a seasoned professional. Members are united by an interest in adornment.

Most meetups are free, though there may occasionally be venue costs, a fund-raiser, or materials for purchase. Most meetups are in Raleigh, but we occasionally visit Cary, Durham, Apex and other surrounding areas.

Beads and bead-weaving are not the primary focus of this group. We do offer an occasional class or demo, but in-depth instruction is also not the primary focus of this group. The focus is social interaction, meeting people, sharing information, exchanging ideas and materials, visiting new shops and studios, asking questions, working together, and making friends.

Through Meetup.com, we coordinate all of our activities, maintain a calendar of local jewelry-related events, and offer a discussion forum.
