Good Morning!
We had a very late night last night at Ornamentea. We spent the entire day and a good part of the night cleaning, painting, moving and rearranging at the store. It was really hard work, but I was also filled with this frantic, get-it-done energy. I wanted to paint everything that didn't move out of the way. I wanted to move all the furniture. I wanted to play the music really loud. One of the best things about having your own business and being the Queen Bee is that when I want to do those things, I do. I also have many talented bee-hands to help me work. Thanks to Ndidi, Tracy, Jane, Nathalie, Hannah, Sarah, Jennie, Madeline, Srijana, Sandy and Becca the store is painted and looks very, very nice.
What did we do? Well, the main thing was the back classroom makeover. We painted and papered and have new blinds coming in this week. We moved the Toho seed beads to the wall so they are easier to see. We put up some new display fixtures to make shopping our jewelry findings easier, especially for more than one person at time! We moved the resins and bezels to a new, larger location (yay!) and enlarged the children's play area. We did prosaic things like wipe off the ceiling fans (and that is a Royal We as my hubby, Galen was the one on the 22 foot ladder!) We also did three things that make me super-duper happy. Seriously, these three things made the 18-hour day and very tired feet worth it.
Pay attention!
We did a lot of work yesterday at Ornamentea. My favorite things are not exactly obvious, but they made a big difference to me. I want to see if anyone else can see them. I have a bright yellow goodie bag* for each of the first five people who can come into Ornamentea and guess which three things make me very, very happy. We won't give you hints. You can't guess on the telephone. We only have five bags. This could take an hour or all week, it depends on how easy I am to figure out.
*these are cloth totes with the Ornamentea.com logo and each will have some really fab product samples inside; beads, findings, all good stuff.
