April 13, 2010: crafting: less taxing than taxes

Good morning-
Ahh, it's tax week. Are you done? Did you get all your receipts tied up with a nice organza ribbon and your paperwork filled out with a metallic purple gel pen? I want to do it that way. Wouldn't it be nice if the IRS gave extra points or maybe a discount for presentation? I think I would really be able to score on that. Even if they don't give you extra gold stars for using gold stars I am really tempted to at least fill the form out in colored ink (if that is legal.) Oh, and maybe the IRS logo could be adorned with a coating of glitter. That way it would really pop off the page. Just a few subtle touches to let them know they are dealing with a creative person...

on second thought, maybe not. Perhaps I'll confine my glitter to less official documents.

Completely legal, crafty fun this week:

Try-It Tuesday today with me at Panopolie and I will show you how to make dramatic rings out of buttons. This technique is so quick, you can make one for each finger. They also make lovely impromptu gifts for friends-inexpensive but nice. Come make a ring with me today for just $2 and enjoy 30% off all buttons, all day.See all the details here.

Join us on Thursday night at Ornamentea for Technique Thursday. This week we'll make adorned hair pins with a nifty bead, bend and hammer technique.
Technique Thursday is EVERY Thursday at Ornamentea from 6:30-8:30.

Ahh, that's all for me. I am going to go hunt down some extra caffeine and see if the IRS has regulations against using glitter in the return address box. I can't imagine they have anything against that!
