Hello there-

I took a weekend trip to Ohio where I reveled in family and watched my children really enjoy their cousins. The big thing up there is the Ohio State Buckeyes and everyone wears loads of licensed Buckeye clothing. I know the Tarheels and Wolfpack folks think they know how to support their team, but I am telling you that they have a lot to learn from the Buckeyes. All of central Ohio dresses for game day, every day. I have been gone for almost 20 years and I don't really have the wardrobe to do that. Luckily for me, my family loves me no matter what I wear.

 

One important thing I did do was pick up my mom's charms for the Charm Exchange. Look for a preview of them on the blog. No, they aren't Ohio State charms...we had loads more roll in this weekend and the swap is going to be big fun. If you still want to attend the party but didn't have a chance to make charms, you can call and register. The fee is $20 and you'll still get the three mini-classes, the fabulous eats and the great time but you won't get a Charm Exchange goodie bag. Call Panopolie at 919-872-4767 to register today. Today it's time for Try It Tuesday at Panopolie through 8:00 p.m. Come make a Dainty Beaded Leaf  with a few seed beads and a bit of wire. You'll love these sweet leaves, imagine several of them clustered on a pair of earrings. Try It Tuesday is every week and costs only $2. See you there!

Friday join us for Elaine Ray's trunk show at Ornamentea. You can take a $10 class with me - Working With Waxed Linen on Friday night (call 919-834-6260 to register) and we'll sip wine and play with a rainbow of waxed linen and discuss waxing your own cords. You can bring your own beads and shop Elaine's selection with my help and then we'll work to create a fabulous necklace just for you. I will have our new Waxed Irish Linen spools available as well, yummy colors!
