Rockaway Beach Bracelet

Put on your espadrilles, a stripey tee-shirt and a pair of cut off jeans. Throw that towel and your phone in a bag and head out the door. Today is a day for walking in the sand and forgetting your cares. The jumble of beads on this bracelet is relaxed and interesting, just like you.

Ingredients

- 29 grams wood bead mix (at least 16 beads)
- Four 7 inch sections of 0.5 mm leather, 7 inches per color
- 2 fold over ends
- 4 jump rings, 7 mm
- 1 lobster claw clasp, 15 mm

Tools:

- Chain nose pliers
- Scissors
- Optional: Bead Reamer or Beading Awl

1. Fit all four leather strands into one fold over. Using your chain nose pliers, flatten the fold over to hold leather securely.

2. Thread four beads onto each strand of leather. If the hole in a bead is a bit too small to accommodate the leather you may want to use a Beading Awl or Bead Reamer to enlarge the hole. Repeat to string 4 beads on each strand of leather.

3. Line up leather strands and fit them into a fold over end. Using your chain nose pliers flatten the fold over end to hold the leather securely.

4. Using your chain nose pliers attach the lobster claw to one end of the bracelet with a jump ring. Chain remaining jump rings together to form an extender for the other side of the bracelet and attach it securely.
