This wrapped leather bracelet uses gunmetal wire to affix the beads to the bright leather strand. The strong magnetic clasp is easy to fasten and quite secure. Vary this design by adding different colors of beads or substituting semi-precious stones for the beads.
Finished length 6.5 inches
1. Feed a Magatama bead onto the wire. Wrap the wire tightly two times around the single strand of leather and then secure the bead with a wrap. Continue wrapping the wire around the leather strand, adding beads after every two wraps until you are 1 inch from the end of the leather.
2. Place the strand of ball chain along the leather cording with the end of the ball chain even with the last lash. Continue lashing the linen around the leather and the ball chain until you reach the end of the ball chain.
3. Feed the end of the leather through the loop on the other side of the magnetic clasp. Fold the leather over ½ inch. Wrap the wire around the doubled leather tightly, tucking the end in and using the chain nose pliers to smooth any sharp ends.
This wrapped bracelet has a double pop of color with bright leather and sparkly Swarovski crystal chain. The wire adds stability and a dark, graphic stripe to the design. Vary this design by changing the leather colors or using a bright silver tone wire. The strong magnetic clasp is easy to fasten and quite secure.
